My ultimate vision is that WE will make an impact TOGETHER through unity, service, and finding strength in one another.

How will we make an impact together?

01 — By using SNPhA as a tool to serve our own communities

SNPhA National Charity Week

Health disparities differ across the country depending on the region you live in. Bringing forward these challenges in healthcare can be difficult, but it is a necessary task. SNPhA is uniquely positioned throughout the country to help address these varying health disparities. With the help of Chapter Delegates in every region, we can all come together to vote on a specific theme for a nationwide outreach event, the SNPhA National Charity Week. This event would encompass the values of service and unity and increase organizational involvement throughout the nation. We would continue fulfilling the mission of SNPhA through this initiative. Furthermore, we would have the opportunity to connect with each other on a national level by working towards amplifying the voices of undeserved communities through this Charity Week.

02 — By continuing to reignite our flame & shaping the future of SNPhA

Enhancing The House of Delegates

The COVID-19 pandemic has not only affected involvement in this organization, but has also affected our personal lives - through loss of loved ones, increased mental health issues, and many more lingering effects of the pandemic. We are still in a season of rebuilding. As the Speaker of The House of Delegates, I will create opportunities to increase chapter delegate involvement. By increasing delegate involvement, each chapter can impact the direction, mission, and vision of SNPhA for the future. Through my implementation of a National Charity Week, Monthly HoD meetings for increased accountability and check-ins, and a Writing-Resolutions Workshop to assist in streamlining the resolutions creation/submission process, chapter delegates will have more opportunities to continue shaping the future of SNPhA.

03 — By elevating the future of pharmacy

Advocacy Efforts for Pharmacist Provider Status

We have the power to take pharmacy to the next level. As future pharmacists, we should have confidence that we bring value to the table. We have stood in the frontlines during the COVID-19 pandemic, and we are trusted and accessible healthcare professionals within our communities. Despite it all, a massive barrier we face in this nation is our ability to be considered as healthcare providers. I will work closely with the National Legislative, Membership Benefits, and Immigration (LMBI) Chair to increase advocacy efforts regarding this barrier by creating more programs and opportunities for SNPhA members to be champions in the fight for provider status for pharmacists.

04 — By developing confident student leaders who are equipped and ready to expand pharmacy career paths

Student Organization Collaborations and Internship Opportunities

Leadership development is a core foundation of SNPhA. I want to continue the momentum and expand opportunities for SNPhA members to develop into leaders who will make an impact in the field of pharmacy. I plan on increasing Student Pharmacy Organization Collaborations with SNPhA. During my time as Chapter President, our chapter members found value in collaborating with other student pharmacy organizations because it allowed us to learn more about different areas of pharmacy. By expanding our network on a national level, SNPhA will be able to inspire other pharmacy organizations to serve underserved communities in their capacity. One of my future goals for SNPhA is to provide internship opportunities through our current and future partnerships. Through these efforts, we will continue equipping SNPhA members to become innovative pharmacists who are ready to expand the world of pharmacy.
